Fernlea Rest Home
Fernlea Care Home is a large three storey Victorian house, originally owned by the Crawfords biscuit family. It is situated on the edge of Sefton Park and has good access routes from local motorways and the main roads through Liverpool.
The original building has been tastefully extended recently to provide a large comfortable space for the residents and their families to use. There is a large landscaped garden which is accessible for wheel chair users and in the summer we often sit out with the residents whilst they enjoy the fresh air and a glass of wine.
Fernlea caters for 38 elderly residents, who require general nursing care. Some have many complex needs requiring intensive input from the trained staff that are on duty at all times. Our aim is to provide a professional caring environment for the residents to enjoy a fulfilled quality of life.
We have an activities co-ordinator who arranges a varied programme so that everyone has the opportunity to join in.
